Over recent months the TWU has been inundated with membership applications from Alpha workers.
Our feedback is that these workers have been impressed with how the EBA is progressing and literally want to get on board and join the united front of those colleagues who stood up and advised Alpha that proud TWU members would not accept a sub-standard deal.
Alpha bowed to this pressure and have agreed to several key demands (see below), but there is still work to be done to secure outstanding claims around wages. The pay offer Alpha put on the table fell far short of that claimed by members.
