CDC MEMBERS FIGHT ON FOR 2018 VICTORIAN BUS INDUSTRY AGREEMENT

CDC bus drivers strike again today!!

Another day longer on the line – another day stronger.  This is union, this is power.

Full stoppages went ahead today at Sunshine depot – from 6am to 10am – and Ballarat depot from 7am to 11am.

CDC Victoria bus drivers took protected action today after mediation talks held in good faith with the company yesterday failed to resolve wage offer issues.

These members are showing tremendous unity, grit and determination in fighting for all Victorian bus drivers and the Victorian Bus Industry Agreement 2018 — so get behind them!!!

Three further protected stop works are planned for this week –

CDC Sunshine depot Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
CDC Oakleigh depot for 24 hours from first bus on Thursday.
CDC Wyndham depot for 24 hours from first bus on Friday.

Picket lines will be in place at each depot during these actions.

CDC TWU members also began indefinite protected action on 21 July in refusing to collect fares, activate ‘touch on’ ticketing devices or wear CDC uniforms.

Further Fair Work Commission mediation is scheduled to take place again tomorrow. Updates to follow…..
