The TWU needs a break down of the typical costs of running a Tipper for our upcoming fight in the Safe Rates Tribunal for a fairer rate for Mud Carters. The TWU and Driver’s Committee put together an example of the real costs for owner drivers to present to plant hires in support of minimum rate demands. The plant hires responded with a different view about the costs you face and the money you should make.

The TWU, on behalf of the Driver’s Committee, has also made application to the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal (RSRT) to register a dispute with the plant hires regarding minimum rates.
