WHAT CAN BE DONE TO REDUCE FATAL TRUCK CRASHES?

The life of a truck driver – long hours on the road, days away from the family home, unsafe rates and one of the most dangerous industries in Australia. We could not agree more with transport safety expert Professor Anne Williamson who said “I think it is wrong that truck drivers are really bearing the brunt” of an industry in crisis.

This summer there was a spike in fatal crashes involving trucks. ABC 7.30’s Julia Holman went on the road with a truck driver to investigate what might be done to reduce accidents.
