Proceedings for the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal inquiry into the wharf and port sector of the road transport industry will commence at 11:30am on Friday 4 December.
It will be held in Sydney, any person wishing to make oral submissions by video link from Melbourne or Hobart must notify the Tribunal by email at inquiries@rsrt.gov.au by 12 noon, Wednesday 2 December. Members should in the first instance contact TWU delegates with any workplace issues.
The inquiry is looking at issues, incentives, pressures or practices affecting safety and fairness in the wharf and port sector which may be improved by a road safety remuneration order covering contract road transport drivers, their employees or hirers, and participants in the supply chain in relation road transport drivers.
