Victorian & Tasmanian Truck Drivers Memorials

December 7, 2015

The Victorian Truck Drivers Memorial  at the Alexandra Rotary Park, 160km north east of Melbourne, was established to honour those drivers who have lost their lives working in an industry that covers so many of society’s needs – from freight transport and towing to long-distance haulage and local waste collection.

Memorial grief work councillor Bette Phillips-Campbell has reminded TWU members that applications for loved ones to be included on the Memorial Wall close 18 March, 2016. A special service will be held at Alexandra on Saturday, 7 June.

Plaques are at no cost to family if the loved one died in the past 10 years. There are currently 52 families participating in the memorial support service.
