BENDIGO AND CRANBOURNE PROTECTED ACTION ON MONDAY 23 SEPTEMBER SUSPENDED

September 24, 2019

On 17 September 2019, the Transport Workers Union (VIC/TAS Branch) issued a Notice of intention to take protected industrial action against Christians Bus Company and Cranbourne Transit Pty Ltd on Monday 23 September 2019.

The Transport Workers Union resolved Enterprise Bargaining discussions with Bendigo based company, Christians, and Cranbourne Transit Pty Ltd in Melbourne’s South East meaning the proposed Protected Industrial Action has been suspended.

This will mean all Christians Bus Company buses and Cranbourne Transit Pty Ltd buses will run as scheduled on Monday 23 September.

In both cases, the Enterprise Bargaining Agreements will provide transport workers with a livable wage increase for TWU bus members.

This result has come about due to the hard work and perseverance of TWU Members and Delegates standing strong and sticking together.

The TWU would like to thank them and the EBA Committees for sticking together. The TWU also thank the community for their support and understanding.
