New international air service from Melbourne

February 1, 2016

A new direct service from Melbourne Airport to Bali has created 70 new cabin crew roles.

Tigerair will base an extra three Boeing 737-800 aircraft at Melbourne Airport for its new direct service to Bali.

The airline will offer daily direct flights to the south-east Asian destination from 23 March this year, which has been declared the “first short-haul international service from Australia.”

They hope that, as well as locals heading overseas, over 2500 passengers a week will use the service to visit Australia.
