Works Alert – Major Delays Expected Aug 31

MAJOR DELAYS ARE EXPECTED ON SATURDAY 31 AUGUST. AVOID AREA.

VicRoads would like to advise of upcoming works that will affect your journey between 8:30pm Friday 30 August to 5:30am Sunday 1 September on M80 Ring Road and Plenty Road, in both directions in Bundoora.

The works involve pouring concrete to build a new bridge deck over Plenty Road. The concrete requires time to settle without the vibration from passing traffic.

8:30pm Friday 30 August to 5:30am Sunday 1 September
Plenty Road / M80 Ring Road interchange, Bundoora
M80 Ring Road CLOSED over Plenty Road, in both directions
Detour: Exit at Plenty Road / Continue straight across Plenty Road / Enter freeway to M80 Ring Road Greensborough bound

Lane closures will be in place on Plenty Road. Right turn movements will be affected at the Plenty Road / M80 Ring Road interchange.

8am to 8pm, Saturday 31 August
Dalton Road / M80 Ring Road interchange, Thomastown
Entry ramp closed from Dalton Road to M80 Ring Road Greensborough bound
Detour: Travel south on Dalton Road / Left at Settlement Road / Right at Plenty Road / Left at Grimshaw Street / Continue straight to Greensborough Highway

Major delays are expected on M80 Ring Road and Plenty Road, both directions on Saturday 31 August during the day. Avoid area.

In the event of excessive delays on the M80 Ring Road Greensborough bound, the entry ramp from Edgars Road to M80 Ring Road Greensborough bound may be closed on Saturday 31 August.
Detour: Travel south on Edgars Road / Left at Mahoneys Road / Left at Dalton Road / Right at Settlement Road / Right at Plenty Road / Left at Grimshaw Street / Continue straight to Greensborough Highway.

Plenty Road / M80 Ring Road interchange, Bundoora
Speed reductions will be in place on M80 Ring Road, in both directions over Plenty Road.
