A new SkyBus service, the Avalon Express, will run between Melbourne’s CBD and Avalon from February 1 next year.

It’s another great win for Avalon Airport, just one year after the Andrews Labor Government secured its long-term future.

Avalon Airport now offers Jetstar services to Hobart, Adelaide, Sydney and the Gold Coast.

There are now more than 900,000 seats to and from the Airport each year.

The SkyBus Avalon Express replaces existing services currently linking Avalon Airport and the city.

TWU members work for airlines and logistic and bus companies operating out of Avalon. The Union will ensure these members will gain full benefit from any new opportunities presented by the new service. The TWU will also ensure no members will be adversely affected.
